Abstract

Amphibolites from the Nellore-Khammam schist belt, Khammam district, Andhra Pradesh, were metamorphosed at 700 ± 50 °C, 1.1 ± 0.1 GPa. Bulk-rock chemical characteristics for relatively immobile element ratios (e.g. Zr-Y-Ti) of the amphibolites suggest two different tectonic settings: oceanic island arc and continental margin island arc affinities. Coexistence of rocks for two different tectonic settings in the schist belt can be explained by accretion at trench as protoliths of the highpressure metamorphic amphibolites. Because the Nellore-Khammam schist belt is located between two terrains, such as Dhanvar Craton and Eastern Ghats Granulite Terrain, their mode of occurrence implicitly suggests that formation of the Nellore-Khammam schist belt was related to the continentcontinent collision tectonics. Consequently, the Nellore-Khammam schist belt may have formed at Ieast in two steps: (1) accretion of the rocks originating from different tectonic settings at trench and (2) subsequent high-pressure metamorphism and exhumation of the rocks caused by collision tectonics.

Abstract

In this paper, we study on discrete model of two interacting species a prey-predator eco-system with limited and unlimited resources. The system comprises of a prey (S₁), a predator (S₂) that survives upon S₁. The basic equations for this model constitute as two first order non-linear coupled ordinary difference equations. All possible equilibrium points are identified based on the model equations and criteria for their stability are discussed. The model would be stable if absolute value of each of the eigen values of the characteristic equation is less than one.

Abstract

The volatile growth of the Internet has brought many superior things, to name a few, e-commerce, easy access to reference materials, shared computing, e-mail, and new avenues for advertising and information distribution. With the most technological advances, there is also a darker side: criminal hackers. Governments, public and private companies, individuals around the world are worried to be a part of this insurgency, but they are scared that some hacker will break into their web server, read their e-mails, replace their logo with pornography, steal their credit card number from an on-line shopping site, or embed software that will transmit their organization's secrets to the open Internet. With these concerns and others, the ethical hackers can help to plug up. This paper describes ethical hacker’s skills, attitudes, and how they help their customers followed by the explanation of process along with the perceptions, timeline and impact on security, business, government on the whole  society

Abstract

In today‟s competitive life, Information Technology (IT) is vital and is finding its way to a wide range of business domains. Their efficiency is used for simplification of processes, further deep integration bares impact when they either „fail‟ or „succeed‟. Despite the intricacy and scope that many IT programs provide, there are still some projects that are destined to failure, from the offset, or within the development cycle. The aim of this paper is to identify the factors that affect the practical implementation of software project management (SPM) in certain selected software companies. A research study is performed to evaluate the data collected through a well structured questionnaire and analysis is made using statistical tool „cumulated weighted average‟ (CWA). The findings reveal that the software companies have endurable capability and maturity in general for implementing software project management process. In specific there are eight factors identified which can encumber implementation quiet critically. These factors require attention to prioritize them, in order to enhance its practice as the research indicates.

Abstract

Metrology is the science of measurement derived from the Greek word metro-logy, which includes all aspects of both theoretical and practical reference to measurements, their uncertainty and in whatever fields of science or technology they occur. One of the most illustrious scientists of the 19th century, Lord Kelvin, once remarked in a lecture "Knowledge about anything is complete only when it can be measured and expressed in numbers. When you cannot express it in numbers, your knowledge is of a meagre and unsatisfactory kind ".

Abstract

According to international standards, measurement uncertainties have to be stated with all measurements and any measurement result is meaningless without a quantitative statement of uncertainty. Measurement uncertainty is characterized by the dispersion of values that could be attributed to the result of measurement. The dispersion of measurement result is obtained from the dispersion of various quantities influencing the measurement. The suitable information about the parameters which influence the measurement is described by probability density functions. This paper describes a method for evaluation of measurement uncertainty of high precision length measuring equipment by considering various factors associated with the measurement process.

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to introduce the model and the study of a three species non linear ecosystem with restricted resources. In this paper, the system comprises of two species hosts S₁, S₂ and one commensal species S₃. Further, S₁ and S₂ are neutral and all the three species posses restricted resources. Commensalism is a symbiotic interaction between two or more populations which live together, and in which only one of the populations (commensalism) is beneted while the other (host) is not effected. The model equations constitute a set of three first order non-linear simultaneous differential equations. Criteria for the asymptotic stability of all the eight equilibrium states are established. The system would be stable if all the characteristic ischolar_mains are negative, in case they are real, and have negative real parts, in case they are complex. Trajectories of the perturbations over the equilibrium states are illustrated. Further the global stability of the system is established with the aid of suitably constructed Liapunov's function.
